Mayday!

Calling MAYDAY! Is anyone out there? All 2.5 of you?!?!? May is super busy, here a few pics of proof. One more week....I think I can, I think I can.

Zoo trip with Claire's class and the "new to us" Power Castle Bus. It needs to be painted! We went to Galveston for dinner one Sunday, I will let you guess who has the sense of humor in the family. Special prize if you guess who lacks patience?!?!

Baby boy's last day of Playschool, he knew all the motions to the fingerplays & bible songs. He is the most precious boy, especially when he is sleeping in my arms. (like last night when he was sick)
Precious memories!

I am looking forward to the w/end, it will be the ONLY Saturday we are home with nothing on the agenda UNTIL July 10th. Um yeah, I need to get a new calendar!

3 clues you may have lost your mind

1. You are in week 3 of Boot Camp and you still look like the ugly duckling doing 50 push ups, on your toes.

2. At the end of the day, you realize you wore your shorts backwards all day long, which is a dead giveaway you never showered after boot camp.

3. You drive to go pick up dinner at New York Pizza and Pasta, but instead you end up in the parking lot of Bonnie Cokinos Dance. Your girls do not have dance today, not to mention they are at home with their daddy.

Maybe I need to stay home tomorrow.

Straight to the heart

Convos with Will today:

W: Can I watch Noggin?

Me: Yes, 2 shows. We have to go to school to get your sisters.

W: I want you to hold me. Don't work on that computer and don't mop.

Enough said.

W: (Driving to carpool line) Is it time for me to go to the wake (lake) with Daddy?

Me: No, not until later this evening, about 7:30.

W: Is that dark time?

Me: Yes, almost dark time buddy.

W: My heart hurts.

Me: Your heart hurts, why?

W: It breaks my heart to wait until dark time.

Me: (thinking: me too buddy, me too!)

Flashback!

After dance and outreach on Tuesday, I was a very brave soul. I took the kids to the mall. I only enjoy shopping alone or with 2 of the 3, it gets crazy as an entire team.

Anyway, Faith made all A's on her report card and Claire's reading grade was an S+! Somewhere along the way, a prize was mentioned. Faith wanted a charm bracelet from Gap. Armed with my 40% off coupons, I agreed. Guess what? You can no longer use coupons in Gap if it is not a Gap product. Why sell charm bracelets that are not by Gap? I was a tad annoyed, but I kept my cool and paid FULL PRICE. I know, it was difficult but I remembered my child's glowing face and I bought it. I was just pleased we got out of the store without buying another pair of jelly shoes. Hello to my childhood! Must it all come back in style? My girls love them and one positive is you can use your coupons. So , I paid about $3 each for them. $12? Don't think so, I think mine were about $2 each in 1985. I know, some of you were the wee age of 5 then.

These pics are off my phone which may not capture the glow.

Will chose to ride a boat because he is so proud of his sisters.

Claire chose to bungee-jump, even flipping a few times!

We may need to work on our Math skills because no one mentioned that the prizes ranged from $15 to 50 cents. This excursion reminded me of my 80's add a bead necklace from junior high. I received so many beads for A's, so many for B's and not a darn thing for a C, which means no beads were from my Math grades. Where is that necklace anyway?

Fun times kinda went downhill after Tuesday. Faith was struck in the wee hours of the night by the stomach bug and has yet to go back to school due to fever. Will forgot his blessed boat ride and is persistent about a Batman Helicopter which tells me someone switched the tv off of Noggin to some awful-toy commercial-playing station. Boot camp nearly left me dead by Wednesday, I ache where I never knew one ached. Tomorrow is Claire's Zoo Field trip and she is OH-SO-EXCITED! Arming myself with loads of Dunkin Coffee + creamer and donuts (which defeats boot camp), I am driving to Hstn to enjoy the zoo with 120 Regina Howell kindergartners and a jazillion other field trip kids.

I bet I have more flashbacks.

I have a lot in my head

I have no business blogging, too much to be done. However, I adore this jewelry. I am a little late for Mother's Day, it kinda popped up on me. Great for Christmas or birthdays, I know 2 or 3 loved ones who would welcome the gift. :)

Claire was sick again this w/end and we had a huge Block Party for PC this w/end, so it was busy. After a trip to the Minor Care Baptist/HEB combo, strep test and $18 worth of toys and hot tamale candy, she was healed. Thankfully, it was not strep again, just viral randomness. Only HEB can also have a Minor Care inside of it. The sound of scanners was comforting as I held my child in a death grip over the throat swab. DRAMA. Maybe the sound of money being spent lured us to Zhu Zhu pets & Nerf guns. I have no excuse for that part of the trip, except maybe desperation.

Today, I worked for Craig and then I went to fitness Boot Camp. It kicked my rear. The push-ups were a sad display of endurance. I finally cheated with the 1/2 push using the knees. I have wimpy arms. I must have a better core, because sit-ups were much better. Running outside in Southeast Texas humidity was no fun either, I work much better on the treadmill. I tried to tell them, but it seems as if they did not care. In order not to look even wimpier, I completed the course. I am so full of excuses, huh?

No more excuses, more work to do.
