Sneak Peek

I am having a Sip & See tomorrow at my house for my sweet friend Melanie & Baby Elise.

Have you ever seen more darling, perfect cookies?

I am afraid you have not.

An extremely gifted, artistic friend of mine made them (Susan White), and they are yummy! She is so humble, she would never attest to how beautiful they are! She is also a pastor's wife. Where is my cookie talent?

These are my cookies.
Which would you rather eat? :)

In another world

Another place or time would only be when Claire Elise crawls in her bed after school to take a nap...alone, without me or instructions.

And, it is not usual for Will to sit still and look through pictures with his cousin's pink nuk in tow. He was disappointed I did not have Wucy pics or Lightning Queen b-day photos to look at. I have an excuse for Lucy, she is 3 weeks old. There is no excuse for not printing his b-day photos, that was 5 mos ago. :) Since he is sick, I refrained from lecturing him about everything I have to do to keep up in life! I am sure he was glad.

Hopefully, he will get his super powers back again soon!

Since Buster is in this pic, it reminded me of something funny. Faith came home with a book she made today at school. It is called All About Buster. The funny thing is several times in the book, she spelled his name Bustard or Busted. Both of those names have come to mind (and maybe out of my mouth) in his short little time with us.

Yipee!

The house is a wreck, the laundry is not complete, dinner is leftovers but 1 of the 3 is on the mend! Faith is going back to school tomorrow, kept her home today to rest up.

Claire still has fever, you would never know it unless you took her temp, she continues to play. I am hoping Will is not coming down with it, he barely took a nap. He chose his football costume since I caught him trying to be a cheerleader. Who knew boots & basketballs could complete the game!?
Against the rules, I took all 3 out today to run errands, we had eaten all the cereal and soup in the city. Fresh veggies & geraniums awaited us. Nothing like a little dirt to heal you. I wish I would have had my camera at the nursery, the kids had a ball choosing plants (and terrorizing the people choosing). I am hoping to plant tomorrow, or maybe Craig will? Maybe all the sunshine (& fresh produce I bought) will keep us well!

They may be able to parent themselves...

if they knew how to dress in real clothes and fix their own hair.

Claire had a mouthful of gourmet Cheez-its so she looks like she is the sick one but it is really the actress sitting on her own side of the table. Today is her 1st day off the couch and eating. As they played outside this morning, they brought in lists of their demand lunch. Cheez-its, grapes, cheese & ham. I could not say no to a picnic in your pjs. Not to mention, that was an ez order to prepare. Will added cinnamon toast crunch for dessert. If they would quit asking for seconds, I might could catch a nap.

**update: 2 sick kids, claire has fever!

A message from Will to the Arkansas fam (or really Nate!)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_F2C1fXSZE

There should be a video embedded here but there is not b/c videos & uploading detest me. Anyway, hope you can see the link. It is a message of love from Will but it is really a busy little boy mentioning a few names & NATE! :)

It ended in wrinkles

Craig brought home this sweet plant/pic frame on Friday. I love the touch of Spring, I wish it would stay but March always brings strange weather. February seems to have flown by.

Will calls these people in the frame Mommy & Daddy. We did got to Cabo for a our honeymoon but I am almost sure this is not me, my hair was frizzy. :)

We took the kids to play putt-putt today. Golfing is Craig's newest hobby, I think it surfaced shortly after the beach house became a pancake.

Claire is a serious golfer. She even switched clubs twice.

Will insisted on a GREEN ball! Of course, he called Claire's ball pink.

I took pictures and kept washing every one's hands; I may be a bit paranoid with all the sickness going around.
I planned to only post this pic for the purpose of documenting that I went on this fam excursion. But, jeez Louise, am I old or what? I keep seeing wrinkles on my forehead and my fingers are old & wrinkly too. I noticed it last w/end when I was pretending to be Cinderella - yoga pants to markdown dress. Some of this issue is b/c I furrow my brow & pop my knuckles like my Daddy. But, some of it is age.
I may need to talk to Jamie about bangs, they could cover my wrinkles. Not that a 20-something knows about wrinkles but she did blog about bangs!
*** I also don't think it helps that my sunglasses look like Stevie Wonder bought them?!?

Traveling to Lucy

Craig and I enjoyed our 32 hour trip to see A, Nate & Lucy. What couple would not like that many hours alone and out-to-eat food 6 times!? (Especially P.F. Changs!! yum!)

Sweet girl woke up to eat and we got to see her pretty face!

I love her hand out here.

Yes, Craig closed his eyes but the other one I looked drunk in. It is my blog, this pic won. Pretend he was praying, he had just finished.
My pics cannot compare to these! Miss Rockstar is shouting from the rooftops today! She is dressed up, off meds and in a new bed!!

That is why I bought her this! Way to go sweet Rockstar!

Symphony Belle Ball

We could have taken more pics but we got our sweet sitter, Kelsey to take them and my precious 3 were screaming in the bathtub, especially one in particular. If my littlest sis was not so busy having a darling baby, I would also get her to use her mad Photoshop skills!
Headed to Little Rock tomorrow, I plan to come back with GREAT pics of my niece, who now weighs 4.6 oz and gained one oz. today! Way to go Rockstar!

We love Lucy!!!

Lucy Caroline Koehn
My precious niece was born last night. She weighed 4 lbs 4 oz., 18 inches long. Adrienne is still in Mtn Home but Lucy & Nate are in Little Rock. She just needs to grow a bit! Her platelet levels were a little low due to the toxemia but she is healthy. Please pray for Lucy that she will thrive and pray for her sweet momma who desires to hold her soon! (We are hoping she gets out of the hospital by Friday morning.)

Ps 139: 13 For you formed my inward parts;you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works;my soul knows it very well.

I should have more pics coming, my brother-in-law Jason, aka Radio Shack is there! Craig & I plan to head up late Sunday.

New entrance....

Our front door is complete! The contractor put the final touches on it today and I have to wait a few hours before cleaning the glass. The shutters went up on Saturday, we chose mahogany like the door. I really like them but they are just shutters. (I know, I need a life!)

Before

After...
If I had photoshop, this is where I would circle the black patio furniture that is vacating the premises...but you cannot see it in the pic anyway.
<----------------------------------
This would be my 2 year old who took his "nukey" hostage out of his bed after nap time...complete separate post!
I think our IKE work is over. Craig can even park in the garage since he has moved into his new office (which also happens to have a warehouse for just a little more rent - God is so great!). Of course, I would still like the oven, new countertops & bathrooms but...not today!
