Dressin' up takes effort...

so one is allowed to change their mind! At the last minute, Claire decided she was not Tinkerbell, she is a ballerina! So, we dressed up as a ballerina,thankfully she thought of something we owned or drama would have followed.

Fun was had by all at the Breaux house. Will, Claire, Hannah, Brooke, Solomon (Dr. Cutie Patouie), Blake & Faith...We were so busy today. Faith ran 25 laps in the Fun Run at school & we had her Fall Festival. Claire loved it until the class went to P.E., she could not understand why she could not stay?! Oh yes, and Faith's cap? It is Red Ribbon Week - put a lid on drugs!
Will...left a ring around the bathtub tonight. His clothes were so dirty this afternoon, he had a bath. Then tonight, his costume looked awful, he was such a mess. Tim Breaux (who is a nurse & good friend of ours) was not happy that Will kept sucking down dum dum pops. Little did he know, he lived on them at Fall Festival today, I was in survival mode.
Will finds it unnecessary to walk, he is the fastest crawler you have ever seen. And...I found him on the kitchen table yesterday morning, yes, monkeys are great climbers!

Spice up your Fall

My preference is a medium french vanilla iced latte with whip cream. But for the season, I am choosing pumpkin. The funny thing is that so many people love the caffeine, guess what? Mine are caffeine free, we would not want my heart to race out of my chest for pumpkins (or french vanilla either)?
The bad thing about going through Dunkins for my treat is the back seat always wants DONUTS!

When you stay out late...

it doesn't matter what you wear to bed! We went to a wedding in Woodville, yes Woodville. The beautiful piney woods of East Texas, it was so nice at a ranch overlooking the lake with yummy food! However, by 8:15, the 3 gave out! They fell asleep in the car, Claire never woke up so she stayed in her cute dress & bow.

Faith cried in the car because I got Will & Craig got Claire & Faith woke up stuck in the car! So, by the time Craig got her out she realized she wanted out of her dress but bow was still intact.

And Will, he was so glad to be able to move around with out restrictions (like no eating rocks & no putting other people's food in your hands & no mad dashes toward the dark lake), he had playtime before bedtime!

**Too bad you missed Will's outfit. It was one of cousin Luke's. Brown striped shirt with brown & blue sweater & brown cowboy embellished pants. He looked like a handsome little man. It had a hat & socks to go with it too, but neither even fit...too small!

We got this book this week at Lifeway. It is very tender and sweet, relaying characteristics of Jesus from Almighty to Zealous love. I appreciate the author's love for Christ as well as her children. You can read about it here.

Cupcakes with Claire

Claire & I made cupcakes with cream cheese icing this afternoon. She was scared of the mixer so she only poured & stirred. Since we have had the "crud" this week, we will not share. :>)

1st day of MDO

Baby Will started MDO at Trinity today. He did not even cry! Maybe he has gotten out of that habit. isn't he sweet? (Cute backpack from Auntie A & Auntie M's sippy cup inchbug labels were in his bag, great aunts.) Btw, Will has never worn shoes, that he can remember. He did not like wearing shoes today, it was really funny to watch him.
He loves his new big boy toys! ** At his 12 mo. check up yesterday, he weighed 25 lbs. 2 oz. & was 31 inches long. That put him in the 85% in height & 80% in weight. Also, I was so proud of Claire b/c she weighed 29 lbs.! (She has gained 6 lbs. in less than a year, it is about time!)

I had big plans for 4 hours to clean the house without my darlin' 3 but I am home with one sick little 6 year old, praying no one else gets it. We have had fun so far, we painted with watercolors & tempra paint & now we are reading books. The time alone with her has been really sweet.

This outfit was Luke's & now Will got to wear it. I am proud to say it is a "Bailey Boy's" outfit, 50 cents at the Willow Creek garage sale, around 2004 purchased by Ma. Now, that girls, is a steal!!!!!

I am sad to say this is my least documented b-day party via pictures, kinda got nuts but hopefully Kel & Ma will share their pics. The main thing: fun for all & great weather!

Happy Birthday Baby Will!

My little monkey is a year old today. It really makes me sad that he is growing soooo fast. He is such a climber, I caught him on the table & decided this was the best b-day pic - it fits him.
Yes, he does own clothes, cute ones actually, he is just too fast to get them on him! :)

Culinary Comfort?

No, it is not comforting me. I have looked at it all w/end, taking it back to collect my $8. :)

While I've been in the kitchen...

Will has been climbing!!! He is not walking yet but he is up on on everything. This is Craig's weight bench, I grabbed him before he fell back & then grabbed the camera (it was just to the left of me on the desk!). We have caught him a lot lately on this.

He was at the top of this stool, standing. Notice Faith's hand, she rescued him & I got the camera!
Climbing on the girl's art box to reach Claire's juice on the table, he was standing up at one point.
I just got Craig to take the joint compound boxes out this morning b/c he loves climbing on them. One time, they were stacked on top of each other, he was trying to attempt to climb on top. Not to mention, he loves to poke at it, just waiting for him to bust open sheetrock stuff.

Don't call CPS.

I liked this - but what is it's use? It says Culinary comforts on the tag. Just wondering....

This is my fave purchase. I had all the pewter, I got the turkey/rooster platter for $4.19 at Tuesday Morning -I think it has names of wines all over it. I do not drink but I could stand to think about it - my head hurts already though!

Inspirational platter over the fridge, I have moved it & put it in several easels all day.

I got the platter on sale at Hobby Lobby & all the pepper bottles too. (Geez - I just realized, I really like platters!) The old salt holder was my Grandmother's. Honestly, I never knew I would like it so much but now that it matches - I love it! (Adrienne cannot get mad that I got that b/c she got something too....)

Still thinking a tad on this rug but I finally cut the tags off late tonight. I think I like it. Will does, he has played on it all day. Craig likes it too.

Did not plan on roosters, just happened.

I may post a final pic someday but I still have a lot left to do. I also got a big spoon, fork & several signs for the wall at Hobby Lobby. The signs say "Simplify" & "Home is where they love you." I thought that fit me b/c I am simplifying my life - simply us, God & others. I guess I am, I hope I am, sounds good. The other, I hope my kids feel that way forever. Also, laundry room got a new laundry sorter & a wipe-off board to organize our lives - color coded!

New paint

My kitchen was textured & painted this week. Yes, it looks blue but it is honestly more green. (The colors are Jade Frost & Sea Level). The red plate (Southern Living Home) is my point of creativity. I love it, it is really going to look good when I get through. We also painted the laundry room so I am going to buy stuff to re-organize it, how exciting! It matches the floor beautifully . I was a bit leary at first but when I saw how well it went w/my plate, I knew it could flow from the other 2 connecting rooms! I cannot wait to go to Marshall's, Peir 1 & Linen's & Things tomorrow (like I will get to do all that). The current stuff I have - ewweh! I have been married over 9 years & it shows. However, I am so thankful for my very sweet hubby who is letting me re-do it. We still have lots to do over time but it will happen slowly. I can wait on countertops & new appliances. I am not buying new until old ones break!
