Hurricane Update

hilary called me earlier and was greatly concerned about her current lack of internet service. i assured her i would update all her fans! i posted this on my blog (sorry to those of you who read both!) and thought i would here too.

so you see the eye of humberto, the red spot in the middle? hilary + family live right about there. everyone (and everything!) is fine but with no electricity for now, although their neighbors across the street have power. hilary's inlaws have it too so they are bunking there for now (so fun to "bunk" with 3 kids i am sure!!). they said it might be tuesday before full power is restored. *yikes*

this thing really came fast! no one was really prepared for it, so we're so glad that there was no major damage. and although no electricity is annoying and quite inconvenient, hil is trying to just be a big girl and count her blessings!

on a personal note, i am glad that we live so far inland. although a closer beach (and a closer sister + family!) would be nice...

Broken Fingers, B-days, PTA & Kitchen Re-do

are the reasons for my lack of blogging. Take note of pics below, Faith's finger is broke but not in the joint, PTL! It is a hair shy of it & my friend Paula & I ripped out the painted wallpaper out of my kitchen (uuuggh!). We did a crummy job until I got help from a friend at church. Now, I am choosing colors & waiting on our contractor to come stomp it. Also, I have been to 3 PTA meetings in 2 days! It is all business with those Regina Howell moms but they are doing a lot of neat stuff. I am so tired but, that is ok....tomorrow is BSF & Claire & I are both excited. Have a nice evening. :)

Soccer & Drama

Faith had her 1st soccer game, on her 6th birthday! She was so excited until she got caught in the hustle & someone stepped on her finger & it hurt! It is swollen & we may have to have it x-rayed. Tomorrow is her party & it is a gymnastics party, so much for tumbling, we already did that! Soccer was fun, we will not mention that the pink team scored a lot & a few we put in the goal for them!

Fun Times

Claire started ballet today, Miss Bonnie was quite impressed with her beginner skills. She loved it. Both girls are estatic that Abby, Auntie M & MeMe are here for a few days. And Will, he is just happy to be along for the ride, he cannot wait to catch up running with his sisters!

This song really ministered to me this morning, as a child of Christ, a wife, a mom, a friend, bookeeper. Keeping that straight is often a struggle for me as I move through my day with many things to do. Most importantly, I need to remember that God is with me, forever loves me & His mercies are new every morning. (lamentations 2:22-23) I am so grateful for that & I need to remember it constantly. Only Grace is enough.

1st Day of 3 Year Pre-K....

and Claire was so excited! I guess her crying the past 2 years has paid off! She was such a big girl. She made me so proud. :)

For the love of Sonic....

fries & cherry limeade are a cure for anything! Will has not yet learned how to *love* long car trips. After fun times in Tyler with the cousins, Sonic was necessary for peace...:) The other pics are from our w/end with cousins Luke & Lila. I am afraid Will is a bit rough, we keep telling him, "gentle." (It is not working, he grabs at precious Lila or anyone else.) Claire is chicken to swim in the pool (although she can swim, lessons proved that) but she will ride the jet ski? Faith...she loves it all: 4 wheeler rides, races down the hill, the lake, pool, you name it! Luke hangs with them but he still sometimes wants his moma. He is so cute, you just want to love on him but..he is too fast!
