The trophy winner

Today was our last soccer game & Faith is so excited because she got a trophy to end the season. She was afraid if she did not score, she would not get a trophy, I assured her trophies were for the team - then we discussed the term team. :)

The 3 this week

On Thursday, I took Claire's pic in this cutie sweatsuit that Auntie A got from her friend's little girl. Claire was so proud to wear it too b/c she wanted a suit like Mommy. (I have to say, mine is not that cute.

Will...Daddy dressed him for bed but this romper did not fit, would not button, had to put it in the bag to go back to Cousin Luke. I don't know how it got stuck in the pj drawer.
Faith...feeling kinda puny. But, I wish I looked that good feeling yuck?

My clothesline & a pumpkin

So, we carved a pumpkin...late. I just took the pic but I think we carved it last Sunday, I told the pumpkin gospel: God cleans us all out like the yucky stuff in the pumpkin & He makes u smile so that we can be the light to the world. The girls enjoyed it but we have to throw it away soon.

This is my clothesline, (I had to share it) that does not hold clothes but artwork. It is really orange now thanks to all the fall artwork. It is one of my fave things in the kitchen.

Sometimes, some things are way too long to hang over so they move to the laundry room (like Faith's sponge paint leaf designs or the life size Claire cut out).
Faith has lots of writing activities (pics she drew or painted & then writes about - readiness skills) on the line while Claire has lots of age-appropriate painting, tissue-paper collages & placemats. Will? He has the pumpkin with crooked eyes. At MDO, they helped the kids glue a face on the pumpkin. Will tried to eat one eye. Interesting. He may not have gotten the concept but it had to be displayed on the "art line!"

I guess you could say, I am a creative junkie - I love to see my kids create.

Also, after several months, it really looks neat because I weed things out & only leave a few per season - I know you needed to know that :)

What about?

I feel the need to blog but what about?
Can't think of anything interesting, exciting, amazing or even disturbing.

I take that back, I can think of plenty of disturbing things but not enough energy to post about them.

Faith is sick this morning, she has never gotten sick this much before. Must be public school. It is germy, she was never this sick at Trinity, I guess that is another difference from Pre-K to Kindergarten, I must record that in our Kdg drama.

I must ask God for the energy if everyone gets sick, I don't think I can take it.

Btw, to my Arkansas fam, if one is sick in a couple of weeks, no travels. I made that rule one other time when Claire was sick. Pray we are all well. We are soooooo excited to get to visit the Ozarks, I cannot believe it has been a year since we were there last. Funny though, we sure have seen each other a lot, family vacays are fun!

I better shower before all the troops awaken, I am already off schedule this morning. Sorry for the depressing post...happy day to you. :)

No Bucks bagged but bucks spent!

Cute line, huh? Can't take the credit, Craig thought of it, my darlin' husband - he could be a great blogger.

Sad to say, The Great Hunter Himself did not bag a deer, one of the 1st times. Others had the luck but he really did not mind, he loved being away & it is really beautiful at Mt. Selman. (Don't worry, he will keep hunting this season, no worry about that!)

Clock is one of my purchases & stars below. Kel & I went to Canton late Sat. evening with Will & Lila.
I only went $5.16 over budget & I really do not know if I need the reddish stars? Pa's little man - no fear of a dead buck (Uncle Matt's) - scary huh? My girls would never have done that! (Btw, Will has 3 words in his vocabulary...Dada, Mama & deer.)
W - is he not a ham? Loved the deer camp & 4 wheelers.
Auntie K is quite the outdoors-woman, those blondies could be hers. :)

Opening Day

Opening day of what? Hunting, of 2 kinds. Craig & I are both hunting this weekend, in the Tyler, TX area. He left this morning with Pa, Claire & Ma. Will, Faith & I are going tomorrow, after the soccer game to meet at Kelli's house.

He camps at the deer lease, the girls & kids stay in a real house, no camping for us yet.
Craig is hunting for...deer, it is opening day of GUN season, not just opening day to deer hunt. You could have been deer hunting for a month...with a bow. I know you all are so glad I cleared that up.

My hunting is of a different sort. I am going on a hunt in Canton. I need a tin to go on one wall in my kitchen. I bet Paul Michaels Co. has it & they now have a store outside of Canton Trade Days, so we may not even need to venture inside the gates. Not that we would not *love* to but Canton with Faith, Claire, Luke, Will & Lila might not be as much fun as you imagine. :)

The other item, I am open for suggestions, I will know it when I see it! I also have a budget but I can bargain & If I lose the nerve, Ma will do it!

Have a great weekend! Happy Hunting to us! (or maybe even to you too!)
