Fixin' my eyes on Jesus

this week has been quite a task. Since it is a part of life, my walk and parenting, I guess I will accept it. All 3 kids are sick, flu to ear infections and Cliff, my father-in-law has been diagnosed with eye cancer. The sickness will be gone in a few weeks but we all know that cancer is a battle while we trust God with His timing, we are still called to stand still and press forward with Him.

Kinda makes the flu seem minor. Kinda makes my messy house, disheveled clothes and anxious heart seem pretty minor too.

However, God still brings forth joy in all things! My daddy had a minor heart monitoring for several days this week and he responded well to meds. The flu struck Claire in the legs but she fought back and is running a much at Regina today (have I told you how much I love those people? Thank you for teaching my child, she thinks I am a mean teacher!). Faith rocked a few tests this week and overcame a lower Math grade due to her hard work. She is sad today to be sick because she is missing the test she was going to ace - her words exactly.

And, Tiger got new used golf clubs, because he lacks hobbies :)

Clifford and Jeannie are still going to Alaska, who knew when last week was so gloomy? God brought hope through doctors at MD Anderson to a situation that seemed hopeless but we give glory to God who can heal all things! (body scan on Wed., pray all is clear)

Mere is still preggers, made it to 32 weeks, need them to keep sitting still!

And precious Will, he is learning cute frog-jumpin' rhymes at school. There are most likely way more things but I have been dodging so many fiery darts, I forgot a few!

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2

Too, too big!

Will started MDO on Tuesday/Thursday. He was sooo excited which is a relief for me!

He kept asking me on Wed. why he was not at school and I tried to refrain from wondering the same thing!?!?

While you were sleeping....

My first clue was the paper trail. Tiny bits of toilet paper led me from the kid's bath to Claire's bunk.
I was not surprised to see a tent, she is an official tent maker.
As I peered in to see her asleep (or not), I saw this:
She was asleep but I am not sure if Barbie and her friends were comfortable clothed in white tissues, wet wipes & toilet paper. Assembly by Claire & hair bands of all sizes. I think I am right-on in determining her creative, visual right brained self! :)

A picture is worth a 1000 words

I bet you would rather play I spy with his pic then me explain everything it means to me. So, this is it in a nutshell:

I am a taxi driver who strives to enlighten children with extracurricular activities to stretch their imaginations and make them strong emotionally, physically & spiritually. But somehow the snacks, backpacks, blanket, camera, homework, ballet shoes, chin guards and the dog tend to steal my plan. And like all this stuff dumped at the backdoor, it is how I felt by 7:00 tonight.

Then as I lean on the one and only SAVIOUR, I remember it is more like a calling than driving. :)

The 2nd grader, the kinder & and a Nuk-lover...

It was a big day! Everyone woke up happy and ready for school, except little bro, he was thinking it was a little much. We ate breakfast at Ma & Pa's since it is around the corner from Porta-Regina. (Which is sooo nice by the way - they have worked so hard. Not to mention, the teachers & staff rock!!!!

Yes, we know she is TALL! :)
My fave thing Faith said today. "Mommy, one time today, I teared up for you!"
If she only knew how many times I "teared."

My 2 fave Claire quotes:

Me: Claire, did you meet Codie? She is such a sweet girl!
C: Yes, she is so tttiiiinnnnyyy (tiny) Moma, I am taller than her! (pot calling kettle!)

Me at lunch duty: C, have you had a fabulous day at school?
C: Oh yes Moma, we have not done ANY work, it has been sooooo great! (Where DOES she get the word emphasis?)

This is a pic Claire took of me while we were supposed to be listening to Mrs. Brocato (or Mrs. Potato as Will calls her) talk about drop-off, tying shoes, water breaks, snacks, centers & another gillion things!

She must have had great lighting b/c it shocked the wrinkles out of my face! We need to work on steadying of the camera. :)
