why must you use your imagination in this silly post? because this is the only pic of me you will see from my trip to tennessee b/c i looked ridiculous in the pictures.
i think i know why. . . i was not taking them and neither was paula.
a stranger took our pic once and jeff, paula's hubby, took the other. i do not think either of them cared that i looked liked a goof. so, there you have it. you must imagine how rested and fashionable (since i shopped) i looked.
however, i will tell you that i had a fabulous time. paula is quite the host, i am afraid that when she comes to visit me, i am not near as nice. i plan to be wonderful next time.
i slept until at least 8:30 each morning and took leisurely showers - all 4 days! i even washed & styled my hair, everyday!
i ate yummy food and watched HGTV.
did i mention i shopped?
anyway, now i am home and back in the groove. i have not taken a shower today (but i did swim) and i have only worn workout clothes . . . and a hat.
the kids and i have been to the library twice this week, baked cookies, worked at church and grocery shopped. one highlight has been that i saved $37 with coupons at kroger.
coupons are a good thing b/c the shopping i did was a more than $37.
i made a yummy dinner tonight, a recipe from paula's blog that she made when i visited her. yummy is the word. i will not mention my trip to the store that took 20 minutes to find wasabi spice, i just bought wasabi sauce, it worked. (btw, wasabi pops up under blogger's misspelled words, that is how i felt at HEB.)
we took the kids on a walk after dinner, to see the ponies. a couple around the corner from us has a beautiful home on about 3-4 acres, horses, goats & ponies included. i did not think to take a pic while we were at the ponies b/c i was chasing will who wanted to push his truck
through every rain puddle the entire mile walk.
eventually, he gave up and was tired and wanted to ride in the wagon . . .no, he wanted to run! too dangerous, so we compromised and let him ride his truck with a bit of help. claire, who was tired of lunges with mommy, joined in the fun too.
it worked as long as you kept moving. we love our wagon but he and rainwater have deteriorated the seat belts, so it is hard keeping him contained.
my big girl who is almost, i cannot say it, rides her bike the entire 2 mile stretch.
she is tough, even in a dress..jpg)
